Since 1994, Sheila has accepted short term positions in various fields requiring an amalgamation of experience and skills. Her range includes: employment as a Constituency Assistant advocating on behalf of local constituents; reviving a failing business; and is a published writer.
Some of Sheila's writing experience includes:
- When Companies Kill, A Memoir, which has drawn interest from WILDsound Film Festival as a screenplay.
- profiles on businesses and people, in addition to a bi-weekly column, for a Neighbors newspaper with a readership of approximately 50,000;
- freelance articles/stories for VERB newspaper, Wholife, Saskworld, and The Society to name a few;
- writing marketing proposals and strategies;
- participating on various boards to aid with either establishing new organizations or rejuvenating established organizations;
- writing letters and nominations for awards;
- organizing and writing for websites/lectures/workshops and speeches.
